HUD’s new NSPIRE (National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate) sets updated requirements for HUD-assisted housing inspections. This two-part training is tailored for local government staff administering HOME and CDBG programs, as well as PHAs. Participants will learn about HUD’s transition timeline, the new scoring and deficiency structure, and the eight inspectable areas, along with practical guidance on deficiency levels, remediation actions, and reporting requirements. The seminar includes demonstrations, a case study, and Q&A to prepare teams for full NSPIRE compliance.
